Evolution IAS · Integrated ship automation
On duty for the Chief Engineer.
One integrated system for alarms, power, tanks and propulsion – for newbuilds and for vessels already at sea. Designed, built and supported in Drammen since 2002.
Yards, integrators and owners we work with
Two ways aboard
New ship, or one that’s already working?
Both get the same system. The difference is where we start: at the yard’s drawing board, or on board your vessel with a free survey.
Keep the ship. Replace the automation.
Old systems rarely fail all at once – the spare parts disappear first. Evolution IAS is built to fit into existing structures, with galvanic isolation and earth-fault supervision on every I/O card, so it works with the sensors and cabling already on board.
What’s on board today?
retrofit upgrades delivered
signals on MV Sofie A after a full upgrade in Turkey
Specified once. Integrated with everything.
Evolution IAS scales from a small alarm and monitoring system to thousands of signals across wheelhouse, engine control room, cargo control room and cabins. OPC-UA is the backbone, with Modbus TCP and Ethernet interfaces, so engines, thrusters, switchboards and cranes from the suppliers you have chosen connect without lock-in.
- Delivered to DNV and BV class, with I/O rated to GL (C) and LR ENV1–3
- Redundant process servers, Ethernet and field buses
- Engineering, installation support and commissioning at the yard

Real screens from Evolution IAS
The screens your chief will actually look at.
Evolution IAS is drawn around the engine room, not around the software. Pick a screen and see what the chief sees.

Lifecycle support
When something happens at sea, Drammen is already on board.
Remote Assistance is installed permanently on board. Our service engineers connect over satellite, straight to the automation system – to troubleshoot, adjust or update it without waiting for the next port.
