Evolution IAS · Fifth generation
One system from wheelhouse to cabin.
Integrated alarm, monitoring and control – scalable from a small alarm system to more than 3,000 I/O. The fifth generation of a platform that started with exhaust gas monitoring in 1984.

System map
Every room on board, on one network.
Workstations, alarm panels and field hardware share a redundant network, so the same alarm reaches the bridge, the engine control room and the chief’s cabin. The link to shore goes through a separate, firewalled gateway.
- OPC-UA as the backbone – ready for suppliers and class societies adopting the same standard
- Modbus TCP and Ethernet interfaces to engines, thrusters, switchboards and cranes
- Fanless process servers with redundant solid-state disks
WheelhouseBridge, forward and aft

Modules
What goes into the system.
Choose what the vessel needs. Everything shares the same hardware, the same mimics and the same service team.
01Evolution IAS coreAlarm, monitoring and control for the whole vessel
- Lists of active, unacknowledged, suppressed and disabled alarms with time stamps
- Trend and historical data, alarm statistics and reports
- Customised process mimics in scalable vector graphics that adapt to any monitor, with zoom per workstation
- Exhaust gas mean value supervision, standby pump and valve control
- Automatic bilge, ballast transfer and exchange, fuel transfer and filling, auto heeling
- FO consumption and performance monitoring, liquid cargo management, deck and navigation light control
- SMS alerts, pocket paging and GSM alert system
02Power management systemSwitchboard and generator control, standalone or integrated
- Standalone (mainly retrofits), semi-integrated with mode control in Evolution, or fully integrated with safety units in the switchboard
- Breaker and generator control and monitoring, automatic synchronisation and load sharing
- Advanced blackout prevention and recovery, heavy consumer control
- Diesel and gas generators, shaft generators with PTI/PTO, emergency generator, bus tie breaker and shore connection
- Modular design with plug-and-play I/O, redundant communication, alarm and event log
03Energy management systemFor DC and hybrid power plants
- DC solutions and hybrid solutions with batteries
- Freestanding, or fully integrated with PMS or IAS
- Scalable to any switchboard configuration
- Energy report station
04Autogauge V1Tank level measurement
- 12, 24 or 36 channels per cabinet, central or distributed installation
- Integrated in Evolution IAS over redundant Modbus, or standalone with its own operator panel
- Adaptive pulse operation for minimal air consumption
- Periodic zero self-calibration, automatic leak monitoring and back-up pressure sensor
- Recurrent purging of air tubes against contamination and freezing; optional density calculation
- A natural replacement for old pneumatic systems such as Peilo Teknikk and Kokum Sonics CALM
05XAP-X alarm panelsUnmanned engine room (E0 / UMS) alarms in the accommodation
- 7″ panel PC with multi-language graphic display
- Alarm group page and status description
